*OUR DAILY REFLECTION: 27-10-2017*
*By: Favour O. Adeaga*
*Theme: THE ULTIMATE GOAL*
*Text: 2 Corinthians 5:9*
*"Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him."*
No man has come to stay in this world; no matter how long our life is, the sure thing is we shall leave this world someday. In God's agenda, His plan is for everyone to be with Him but then, only those who have forsaken their sinful life and given up on worldly affairs will be partakers of this divine plan.
But come to think of it, of what importance is after our journey through this world and all we have passed through for the sake of the gospel, we are rejected? Today's scriptural focus points our attention to one thing - acceptance before God which should be every believer's goal. We must understand that *our confession of Christ and consistent attendance during church activities, among others, are not proofs of acceptance before God* but commitment to doing His will.
And the apostle Paul gives us the clue to work this out - labour. What do you expend your strength on, worldly or heavenly things? Salvation does not guarantee an automatic acceptance before God, every one must labour to ensure they are accepted; *everyone must ensure those little foxes that spoil the vine do not soil their garment and disqualify them from being present at Christ's glorious appearing.*
*REFLECTION FOR TODAY:*
Acceptance before God should be every believer's goal.
*PRAY:*
Jesus, please help me to reign with you at last in Jesus' name.
Great morning!!!
